1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ScopeChain, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old or have legal authority to enter into this agreement
- Have the authority to bind your organization to these terms
- Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Have read and understood our Privacy Policy
2. Description of Service
ScopeChain provides a platform for:
- Buyers to track and manage Scope 3 emissions data from their supply chain
- Suppliers to submit and verify emissions data to their buyers
- Both parties to collaborate on sustainability reporting and compliance
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform without permission
- Resell or redistribute access to the platform
5. Data and Content
5.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you submit to ScopeChain. By submitting data, you grant us a license to process, store, and display it as necessary to provide the service.
5.2 Data Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of emissions data and other information you submit. ScopeChain provides tools for estimation but does not guarantee the accuracy of calculated values.
5.3 Data Sharing
Suppliers acknowledge that data submitted may be shared with connected Buyers. Buyers acknowledge that supplier data is provided for their internal use only.
6. Intellectual Property
The ScopeChain platform, including its design, features, and content, is owned by ScopeChain and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
ScopeChain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Emissions calculations will be 100% accurate
- The platform will meet all regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeChain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the platform or via email. Continued use of ScopeChain after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
